GOT Polish Challenge: Orange

This is my first time participating in the GOT Polish Challenge and I’ve only just made this theme in time; there is only 1 day left to post! I could have missed this months theme out if I wanted to, but I thought ‘when else will I ever use orange nail polish if not now?’.

As part of the challenge, you can only use nail polish that you’ve had for more than 1 year, so I dug out these two gems: Hip Hop by Collection 2000 and Orange Soda by Lasting Fix.

Old-orange-nail-polishIn this manicure I also used metallic striping tape and metallic silver nail polish by W7 (many years old).

Here is what I created:

Orange-nailsTo begin with I painted my nails with the W7 metallic silver polish. Once dry, I placed a line of masking tape down the middle of each nail to protect the silver nail varnish from the orange.

Next, I applied Hip Hop to one side of the masking tape and Orange Soda to the other side. As you can see from the picture, I did the colours the opposite way round on my ring finger. Once dry, I removed the masking tape and applied the striping tape down each side of the silver line. I finished off with a Sally Hansen top coat (my favourite) 🙂 !
