I know you haven’t heard from me since the Christmas period, but I have a very good/exciting reason why:
I’M MOVING TO AUSTRALIA!
Me and my boyfriend of almost 7 years have decided to move to the other side of the world! We’re going for a year initially with the Working Visa, and then we will see what happens from there!
When I first set up my blog, it was to help people; I always did my own UV gel nails and acrylic nails at home, so I initially started by creating my Nails101 page to help people who also want to try it themselves.
However, after discovering the HUGE nail blogging community I got distracted by nail art instead!
Here’s what one of my first designs looked like, LOL:
As you can see from the picture I also started out doing all my nail art on false nails (I had trouble growing my own)! But since starting Paleo (link) my nails are growing longer, stronger and healthier woo!
Here’s how they look most of the time:
So throughout 2014 I concentrated more on nail art tutorials like this mermaid one:
I made these for May The 4th Be With You 😉 ! They took quite a few hours but they were so worth it! I think that’s one of my most popular posts too! (You can find that post here).
A year (and a month on) from when I started blogging I now have:
106 Email Subscribers
1,738 likes on Facebook
382 followers on Twitter
667 followers on Instagram
146 followers on Google+
323 followers on Bellashoot
41 followers on Pinterest
91 followers on Bloglovin’
As for my website, it has had:
And the best ever views in one day was 498!
As I’m going to be traveling around a lot in Australia and also working, I’m not going to have much time for nail art unfortunately. Instead I’m going to focus on Nails101 again and bring out new articles to help people. This will include picture tutorials and also YouTube videos (eek)!
The reason for focusing on them is because combined, my Nails101 section of my website has on average 450 views per day – all from Google search engines. I also receive quite a lot of emails from people asking for help on e.g. UV gel nails.
So that’s my update for you all! I am so honoured that my blog get’s so many views, so I’m going to continue to help those looking for advice and also keep supporting all the other nail bloggers out there!
Ahh, wish me luck for Australia!!!!
